Apple (Cupertino, Calif.) has taken the wraps off its first store in the eastern China city of Hefei that’s also its first locale in Anhui province. The new store is in the city’s MixC shopping mall.

“We are so thrilled to open Apple MixC Hefei, our first store in the Anhui province, and build deeper connections with our customers in China,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s SVP of Retail and People.

Located in a major business/financial district in the city of about 10 million, Apple MixC Hefei features a wide, curved glass storefront, seamlessly blending the inside and outside. The new store also features sustainably and locally sourced materials, the company says.

In addition to a full line of Apple electronics, the new store offers Genius Bar services and Apple Pickup, enabling customers to receive support and collect their online orders, respectively. Customers can also take part in free “Today at Apple” sessions, where they can learn new skills in photography, videography and more.

Apple MixC Hefei is the company’s 48th store in mainland China.
