Kroger (Cincinnati) has confirmed plans to convert two of its Marketplace locations in Texas to Asian-centric locales. The changeover, at Dallas-area locales in Collin and Denton counties, will feature products and new décor, updated signage and a larger selection of multicultural products, Grocery Dive reports.

This initiative, dubbed the “Asian Experience,” mirrors a similar Hispanic concept that Kroger launched at the end of last year in Dallas’ Oak Cliff neighborhood, GD reports.

Kroger’s longer-term plans for both concepts are not yet known.

A Kroger spokesperson told GroceryDive that the Marketplace stores being converted to the “Asian Experience” have a larger footprint with more space to showcase new features and experiences.
