Paris Baguette Opens 200th North American Locale
Development pipeline for region totals that number again
Global bakery-café brand Paris Baguette (Moonachie, N.J.) has opened its 200th location in North America, with more on the way. The landmark location is in the western Chicago suburb of Glen Ellyn, Ill., and the brand’s current development pipeline totals more than 200 more locales in the region.
“Opening our 200th North American cafe is an exciting moment for Paris Baguette,” said CEO Darren Tipton “This continued growth reflects our dedication to offering an authentic bakery café experience and spreading joy to our guests each and every day. We’re proud to be re-establishing the neighborhood bakery as the heart of the community, and this milestone sets the stage for even further growth in the coming years.”
The brand, which was founded in 1988 in South Korea, opened its first café in the U.S. in 2005. It eventually expects to reach 1000 units in North America. (Overall, it has 4000 units across the globe.)
Its current expansion plans include 34 added locales in Texas, 33 in New Jersey, 16 in Georgia and 14 in Ontario, Canada. Beyond that the brand has more than 115 cafés coming online and is poised to enter Connecticut, Delaware, Missouri, Oklahoma, Guam and Puerto Rico.
