Shop! MarketPlace 2025 Celebrates Retail Creativity with the Shop! Design Awards
Recognizing in-store retail’s most inventive creators and their extraordinary design concepts and execution.
[MONTCLAIR, NJ] – Imaginative retail design exceeds the limitations of what is possible.
Shop! Association announced and celebrated the winners of the 2025 Shop! Design Awards live at Shop! MarketPlace in Charlotte, N.C., April 9.
The Shop! Design Awards honors creative designs that enhance the in-store retail space, with the highest recognition being Store of the Year. Awards are also bestowed to the Visual Presentation of the Year and Fixture of the Year.
“The winners of the Shop! Design Awards push the boundaries of convention, inspiring our industry to reimagine in-store spaces with bold, outside-the-box vision,” says Carly Hagedon, Editor-in-Chief, VMSD magazine and Co-Chair, International Retail Design Conference (IRDC).
The panel of judges analyzed hundreds of design entries across 17 main categories to select the Store of the Year recipient, as well as one gold award recipient and one silver award recipient per category. Judging criteria was based on excellence in design, originality in the use of space and materials, quality in executing the total concept, and in some cases, the highest return for dollars spent.

Once an online-only retailer, Wayfair’s first full line store is a playful, dynamic and customer-centric experience. Called “the Wayborhood,” the space is designed like a miniature city, with 19 “neighborhoods” for explore. This store embraces immersive environments like its “Design Studio” and “Dream Center,” allowing guests to find their perfect style and creating a connection between shoppers and the brand.
Shop! MarketPlace, held at the Charlotte Convention Center on April 8-10, brought together retail creators, manufacturers, suppliers, brands, retailers, design firms and consultants in a collaborative environment to discover retail solutions, discuss emerging trends and build strategic partnerships.
“We’re honored that Shop! MarketPlace brought together retail creators from every sector of the industry to celebrate and recognize some of our industry’s most creative minds and their unique design projects,” said Murray Kasmenn, Executive Director of Shop! Association.
