Shots Fired After Car Crashes Into Jewelry Store in Attempted Robbery
‘We … have one person of interest in custody who is being treated at the hospital for a gunshot wound,’ police said.
Gunfire erupted at a jewelry store in Germantown, TN, during an attempted robbery on Monday.
Suspects in two cars targeted Bob Richards Jewelers at about 1 p.m., according to the Germantown Police Department. They crashed one of them into the storefront, gaining access to the showroom. The suspects were reportedly armed.
Staff then fired shots inside the store, police said.
“Officers have recovered a vehicle involved in the robbery. We also have one person of interest in custody who is being treated at the hospital for a gunshot wound. This remains an active and ongoing investigation,” police stated.
No injuries were reported among staff members.
