Skymint Opens 18th Dispensary in Michigan
The cannabis chain is also blazing the trail for dispensary design
Skymint (Ann Arbor, MI) opened its 17th and 18th cannabis dispensaries in the state of Michigan last week, MLive.com reports.
The cannabis chain has grown quickly since it began operating in 2018. It’s also blazing the trail for dispensary design – as we detailed in a March 2021 profile of the company – and stands out particularly for its use of fixtures.
“Historically, a lot of dispensaries are set up more like a pharmacy where you walk in and right up to the counter to place your order. All of the product is sort of behind this barrier at the point of sale,” Summer Ransom-Cleveland, Chief Retail Officer, told VMSD. “We really wanted to design the store where the product is out from behind a barrier and on a regular sales floor like any jewelry store or fashion store.”
