“Stitch” Pop-Ups Operating in NJ, LA

Disney’s “Stitch” character is the focus of two pop-ups on opposite coasts. Operated by Miniso (Guangzhou, China), the temporary stores dedicated to “everyone’s favorite blue alien” are operating at the American Dream mall in East Rutherford, N.J., and in Los Cerritos Center in Los Angeles.
The pop-ups, slated to operate into June, are tied to an upcoming movie premiere: Originally launched in a 2002 animated movie, a live-action version of “Lilo and Stitch” is slated to debut on May 23.
“With Stitch’s signature blue hue as the dominant theme, the pop-ups are a plush paradise, immersing visitors in a Stitch universe,” Miniso said in a news release. “With perfect photo ops galore, fans can enjoy unforgettable experiences and make magical memories to treasure in this limited-time pop-up.”
The pop-ups will feature roughly 200 Disney’s Stitch themed merchandise, including blind-boxes, plush keychains and bubble cameras, nightlights, wireless speakers and keyboards. Miniso said similar pop-ups are slated for China, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Canada and elsewhere.
