Atlanta Jewelry Show to Move Spring 2027 Event to Savannah

ATLANTA — The Atlanta Jewelry Show (AJS) announced a transformation for its Spring events.

After 76 years of the “Show of the South” being based entirely out of Atlanta, the Atlanta Jewelry Show is hitting the road for the Spring 2027 show.

The inaugural road show event will take place the first weekend of April 2027 at the Savannah Convention Center in Savannah, GA, featuring an education day on Saturday, April 3, followed by an expanded show floor on Sunday, April 4, and Monday, April 5, 2027.

Moving forward, the Spring show will travel to cities across the Southeast — a strategy the organization says is designed to more fully engage the community of jewelry businesses throughout the region. The annual August show will remain in Atlanta.

The Spring 2027 show will also officially transition the Atlanta Jewelry Show to a Sunday-Monday schedule for all future events. According to AJS, this change was made to remove weekend conflicts and make the show more accessible for exhibitors and retail buyers.

The AJS board and management team are working on collaborations with state jewelry associations, national organizations, professional associations, jewelry educators and institutions, and jewelry industry providers to bring the industry together under one “big tent.”

By transforming the spring show into a retreat — with trade opportunities, jewelry education, networking, and Southern hospitality — AJS says it aims to become a trade show destination for independent retailers. In 2027, attendees will be able to explore Savannah, including its historic district, food and entertainment scene, and art culture. The convention center is situated on the waterfront.

Hosting the Spring shows at destinations like Savannah will allow the AJS team to offer resort experiences, golf outings, and evening events. AJS says it intends to deliver a combination of networking, community, business value, and education at every show.

According to AJS, Savannah was strategically chosen for the first road show not just as a destination, but as the epicenter of a new chapter for jewelry education and workforce development. AJS recommitted to its relationship with Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) for the March 2026 show, welcoming students and instructors to the Spring event and including them in show-floor education and opportunities. Many AJS exhibitors and retailers rely on SCAD for interns and new talent.

AJS says it will use the Savannah event to continue building on its SCAD relationship and to publicly support the investment Jewelers Mutual is making in SCAD. “We are incredibly excited to bring the industry to Savannah to help highlight and celebrate this massive initiative by Jewelers Mutual and SCAD,” said Ross Wesdorp, president of the AJS Board of Directors. “Supporting education and ongoing workforce initiatives is a core pillar of our new Atlanta Jewelry Show strategy. By aligning our inaugural traveling show with this historic investment, we are supporting an initiative that the entire jewelry industry needs to rally behind.”

With the transition to a destination format and the new Sunday-Monday pattern, AJS says exhibit space for the Spring 2027 Savannah show is expected to fill quickly. For more information on the Atlanta Jewelry Show and to apply to exhibit at the Savannah 2027 show, visit ajs.show/savannah.
