(PRESS RELEASE) COMMERCE TOWNSHIP, MI — The FH StudioDesign team took a family-friendly approach to redesigning and rebranding the new flagship C-store for the Commerce Market. The design team created the space’s unique brand voice, imaging, logo development, graphics, and interior concept design.
The Commerce Township, MI store, formerly the owner’s father’s Clark station from the 1950s, boasts spacious, well-lit interiors with high exposed ceilings and invites customers to a warm, welcoming environment.
FH Studio Design looked to history to guide the design. “We wanted to showcase the family history of the space and include the father’s legacy into certain design components. We re-imagined and contemporized the original 1950s Clark station into the new brand logo and placed it front and center as you enter,” said Michael Benincasa, VP Retail Design & Strategy.
Designing the interior of the 4,000-square-foot space involved dividing the space into several distinct zones that all flow together seamlessly but serve different functions: Beverages, Fountain,Retail, and Food Service. The interior is meant to convey a fresh, welcoming, and inclusive sense, with illuminated CoLite rings in soaring ceilings and soffits. The area’s highlight is the almost 6’ tall custom-fabricated barrel with illuminated signage above the coolers that serves as a beacon to guide customers to the back of the store.
Federal Heath fabricated and installed all interior décor and graphic elements, including IlluminatedCoLite ceiling rings, illuminated WallMaker WallPanel System around the perimeter, dimensional copy, Wood barrel w/ illuminated signage, graphics, and wall decals, CoLite merchandising frames, and the exterior petroleum canopy.
Currently, the owners are planning additional locations.They were delighted with the overall results, saying – “My sister and I rebuilt our current marketing and gas station and chose FH Studio Design Group to design all the fine touches.
