Macy’s Hires Walmart Exec to Helm Retail Media Network

Macy’s (New York) has hired Michael Krans as the VP of its in-house media network, Macy’s Media Network, according to a press release from the company. 

Having previously worked for Hearst and Conde Nast, Krans most recently led the fashion team at Walmart’s media division. 

The media network will connect advertising partners with both Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s shoppers. The Macy’s Media Network debuted in 2020 and reportedly generated $105 million in 2021.
