Ollie’s Opens Landmark Store

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Holdings, Inc. (Harrisburg, Pa.) has opened its 500th store in Iowa City, Iowa, which also marks the 30th state for the retailer of closeouts and excess inventory.

“This is a major milestone in our company’s history,” said John Swygert, President and CEO. “As we keep growing, our commitment to give back to the communities we serve is more important than ever. In Iowa City, we are thrilled to continue that commitment with a donation of $10,000 to benefit Children’s Miracle Network and the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital as part of our grand opening celebration.”

Overall, Ollie’s plans to open 50-55 locations annually until it reaches 1050 stores. A retailer of closeout merchandise and excess inventory, its offerings include housewares, food, books and stationery, bed and bath, floor coverings, toys, health and beauty aids.
