Fashion brand Urban Revivo (Guangzhou, China) opened its new flagship in Beijing’s Sanlitun district this July.
Designed by architecture firm MVRDV (Rotterdam, Netherlands), the flagship’s interior and exterior translated traditional aesthetics into an immersive modern experience. The striking three-dimensional façade, made from suspended aluminum tiles and tubes and stamped with Urban Revivo’s logo, was inspired by Beijing’s roof tiles and positioned to create a wave pattern. The interior features arched doorways that are visually reminiscent of circular moon gates, seen in traditional Chinese gardens and symbolize spiritual unity.
A milestone for Urban Revivo, the more than 40,000-square-foot flagship is housed on Sanlitun West Street, known for being a premiere retail destination in Beijing.
