Save-A-Lot Names New CEO

Leon Bergmann

Supermarket chain Save-A-Lot (Saint Ann, Mo.) has named Leon Bergmann as its CEO beginning in March, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Bergmann, who success former CEO Kenneth McGrath, joins the company from Harvest Sherwood Food Distributors. He has also held leadership roles at Unified Grocers and SuperValu.

“We look forward to working alongside him and the management team as we pursue the strategic growth opportunities ahead,” said Justin Shaw, Chair of Save-A-Lot’s board of directors.
