Uniqlo Details North American Expansion

Uniqlo (Tokyo) will ramp up its growth in North America by adding more than 20 new stores across the U.S. and Canada in 2024. With a focus on eastern and western regions of those countries, the brand’s plans double the current year’s store openings.

“We couldn’t be more excited to enter the next phase of our North American expansion plan and serve more customers in the U.S. and Canada,” says Daisuke Tsukagoshi, CEO of Uniqlo North America. “Stores are the heartbeat of our business, where we can engage with our local communities, hear directly from our customers, and best understand their needs to continue to improve and perfect our products. We’re looking forward to a big year ahead.”

Uniqlo stores opening in spring 2024 are:

U.S.:
Tacoma Mall (Tacoma, Wash.)
Alderwood Mall (Lynnwood, Wash.)
South Shore Plaza (Braintree, Mass.)
Providence Place (Providence, R.I.)
Staten Island Mall (Staten Island, NY.)

Canada:
CF Fairview Mall (Toronto)
CF Market Mall (Calgary)
Scarborough Town Centre (Toronto)
Bayshore Shopping Centre (Ottawa)

Overall, Uniqlo has more than 2000 stores worldwide, including 53 in the U.S. and 19 in Canada. It is a unit of Fast Retailing.
