Dave & Buster’s Entertainment Inc. (Coppell, Texas) said it is continuing its international expansion by finalizing a deal with Grupo Pais (Santo Domingo) to open two locations in the Dominican Republic. That brings to 33 the total number of stores the restaurant/rec-plex concept has in development overseas.
The move into the Dominican Republic marks “a noteworthy milestone in our global growth strategy,” said Antonio Bautista, Chief International Development Officer. “Our partnership with Grupo Pais, known for its innovative and consumer-first approach, will allow us to set a new standard for entertainment in the region.”
Said Juan Carlos Pais, CEO of Grupo Pais, “Dave & Buster’s commitment to providing an unmatched combination of entertainment and dining fits perfectly with our market’s demand for innovative experiences. This partnership promises to redefine entertainment in our country.”
Founded in 1982, Dave & Buster’s Entertainment Inc. owns and operates 222 venues in North America through two distinct brands: Dave & Buster’s and Main Event. Grupo Pais, meantime, is a conglomerate of retail, real estate, energy, services and commercial companies with more than 30 years of experience in the Dominican market.
