Floor & Décor Ends 2023 with Flurry of New Stores

As part of its ongoing expansion, Floor & Décor (Atlanta) opened six stores in December. The hard-surface flooring retailer’s newest stores are in Shrewsbury, Mass.; Allentown, Pa.; Manassas, Va.; Mobile, Ala.; Springfield, N.J.; and Port Chester, N.Y.

“In the third quarter of fiscal 2023, we opened five new warehouse stores,” CEO Tom Taylor said in a Nov. 2 news release for that earnings period. “We continue to open new warehouse stores and intend to open 15 in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2023 [ending Dec. 28] toward achieving our 32 new-store opening plan for fiscal 2023.”

Founded in 2000, Floor & Decor is a specialty hard-surface flooring retailer, operating over 200 warehouse-format stores and five design studios across 36 states.

The stores offer homeowners and professionals selections of tile, wood, natural stone, laminate and luxury vinyl plank. In addition, Floor & Decor stocks the tools, decorative materials, wall tile, and related accessories for hard-surface flooring projects.
