LensCrafters Opens Tech-Laden Store in Cicero, N.Y.

LensCrafters (Mason, Ohio) has opened its newest store, in Cicero, N.Y. The locale replaces one the optical retailer operated in the nearby Great Northern Mall but closed in late 2022.

“This latest opening in upstate New York is part of LensCrafters’ continued dedication to serve all communities in North America,” said President Alfonso Cerullo. “The new location in Cicero will make it more convenient to offer customers access to important products and services around eye care and vision solutions.”

In addition to digital eye exams, customers can virtually try-on any frame thanks to the retailer’s virtual mirror technology. The new location is also equipped with high-resolution digital screens and LED walls displaying eyewear and ad campaigns.

LensCrafters is part of France-based EssilorLuxottica, which is one of the largest optical retail brands with more than 1000 stores in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
