New York Ranks No. 1 State for Engagement Ring Shopping
Study cites nation’s highest search rate for engagement rings and nearly 2,000 jewelry stores.
New York is the best state in the U.S. for engagement ring shopping, according to a new study from online gold trader The Alloy Market.
The study ranked all 50 states on three factors: online search volume for engagement rings, the number of jewelry stores and per capita income. New York scored 93.6 out of 100, CNY News reported.
New Yorkers made an average of about 451,120 engagement ring-related searches per month. That works out to roughly 2,305 searches per 100,000 residents, the highest rate in the country.
The state also has 1,947 jewelry stores, or nearly 10 for every 100,000 residents, according to the study. New York’s per capita income was listed at $88,847.
The study found that New York’s high search volume and number of stores put it at the top of the list. Massachusetts ranked second and Connecticut third.
