Nobis Opens Three Stores In China
Locales mark start of brand’s joint venture with local partner Ellassay
Canadian luxury outerwear retailer Nobis (Markham, Ont.) has opened its first three stores in China – two in Beijing and one in Shanghai. This expansion marks the first step of a joint venture between Nobis and Ellassay (Shenzhen), a major player in China’s luxury fashion sector with more than 300 stores there.
“Nobis is ranked a top-three luxury outerwear brand in South Korea by sales volume, with 30 locations in top department stores, and we’re eager to start that journey in China with our new partners at Ellassay,” said Nobis VP and Co-founder Robin Yates.
The first retail locations are located in the Beijing SKP mall the Galeries Lafayette mall in that city and Shanghai’s Réel Mall.
“As an innovative product-first company, customers will experience the quality of Nobis icons styles like Aura and Yves firsthand, as well as fashion-forward additions like Dyna, Aspen and Isla,” said Kevin Au-Yeung, President and Co-Founder of Nobis. “We welcome the consumer to visit our stores and learn how we design with purpose in mind, our mid-layers, performance outerwear and technical accessories all working together to build a technical apparel wardrobe for today’s climates.”
In addition to its presence in China, Nobis has two flagship stores in Toronto and is available in more than 35 countries, including France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Czechia, Austria and Japan. Retailers stocking the brand include Sporting Life, Harry Rosen, 24S, SSENSE, Matches, Harrods and Lotte.
