Sprouts Farmers Market Opens 400th Store
Achieving landmark reflects organic grocery chain’s ongoing expansion plans
Sprouts Farmers Market (Phoenix) has opened its 400th store in Haddon Township, N.J. That store’s debut is part of Sprouts’ five-year plan to expand its physical footprint by 10 percent annually.
The opening of the New Jersey locale also comes shortly after the unveiling of the chain’s 399th store in Rialto, Calif.
“The expansion not only marks a significant milestone, but also represents our success in offering high quality better-for-you products to our customers coast to coast,” CEO Jack Sinclair said in a news release.
The Haddon Township locale marks Sprouts’ 23rd opening this year. All of its new stores feature a 23,000-square-foot footprint, providing “a bright and airy farmers market experience with an open layout, community feel, and produce at the heart of the market,” the company said in a news release.
Sprouts is currently in 23 U.S. states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington.
