Photo Gallery: Bvlgari Opens Flagship in Osaka

BVLGARI (Rome) recently opened its new flagship in the Shinsaibashi district of Osaka, Japan, with a design that celebrates the brand’s Roman heritage and Japanese craftsmanship.

The façade of the 5382-square-foot flagship mimics the texture of traditional washi paper and allows natural light to flow through the delicate lattice. The façade also includes Bvlgari’s eight-pointed star symbol.

Inside, the flagship blends Bvlgari’s signature visual motifs with traditional Japanese design, such as pairing Italian marble and travertine with textiles made by weaving house Hosoo in Kyoto. Wall coverings throughout the space showcase historic Japanese techniques. In addition, the store exhibits a curated selection of Bvlgari collections.

Several pieces of artwork are also featured in the store, including works by Japanese artist Makoto Ofune.
