FIGS Inc. (Santa Monica, Calif.), a direct-to-consumer apparel and lifestyle brand for healthcare professionals, has opened its first permanent physical retail space. The store, dubbed a Community Hub, is in the Century City Mall in Los Angeles.
“We could not be more excited to open our first Community Hub, and to do it in Los Angeles, where FIGS was founded,” said CEO and Co-Founder Trina Spear. “Our Community Hub is a space for our Awesome Humans [as we call our customers] to not only experience our products in person, but to gather, share knowledge and provide support to one another.”
FIGS says the new store provides an opportunity to drive increased revenues across its entire platform, as customers who shop across multiple channels typically generate significantly more revenue than digital-only ones.
FIGS opened its first Community Hub at the Century City Mall in Los Angeles – one of FIGS’ largest markets. The mall’s tenant base includes five healthcare clinics, and the complex is located within 10 miles of six major healthcare institutions.
FIGS said that opening reflects the disciplined approach it plans to take with its retail roll out by entering markets with a high density of healthcare professionals. In keeping with that strategy, the company said its next Community Hub will open in the first half of 2024 in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square, which is located within two miles of five healthcare institutions.
