Fragrance.com to Open Its First Retail Store
Long Island locale will have 1000 square feet of space
Fragrance.com (Hauppauge, N.Y.), an online retailer of perfumes and other beauty products, plans to open its first permanent physical store next month, Long Island Business News reports. The 1000-square-foot shop is slated to open Dec. 16 at the Roosevelt Field Mall.
The store will offer more than 900 scents at discounts of up to 80 percent off regular retail prices, according to a company statement. Fragrance.com, which has a warehouse and distribution facility in nearby Deer Park, already has temporary retail locations at the Oculus in the World Trade Center in Manhattan and at The Westchester in White Plains.
“With our new brick-and-mortar strategy, being a Long Island business has influenced our first permanent store to be located only 20 minutes from our Deer Park warehouse,” Joshua Caban, Fragrance.com’s director of retail, said in the statement. “Customers’ expectations have changed today’s retail environment and Fragrance.com has been listening. Our newest retail format includes best-in-class digital tools that enable our customers to discover all our website has to offer.”
The company says it has sold more than $2.5 billion in merchandise since its launch in 1997.
