Herman Miller Debuts Showroom at Fulton Market Chicago: PHOTOS
All eight brands come together in 1920s-era brick building
Herman Miller (Zeeland, Mich.) recently debuted its first standalone location at Fulton Market Chicago, uniting all eight of its brands into one showroom. This location was a new approach for the company that previously only participated in trade-only showrooms. Set at 45,000 square feet and occupying a 1920s era brick building, special care was given when redesigning the storefront to preserve the original brick façade, allowing the new location to acclimate seamlessly into its new Chicago home in The Meatpacking District.
The experience starts on the ground floor of the building where shoppers will be greeted with Herman Miller’s three retail brands: Design Within Reach, HAY and Herman Miller. Designed to create momentum as customers make their way upstairs to the additional group showrooms upstairs, the overall space becomes a company portfolio.
