More Than 200 Ulta Stores Impacted by $8M Retail Theft Ring

New details are emerging about a San Diego woman accused of being the ringleader of a nearly $8 million organized crime ring that targeted several stores, including Ulta, reports NBC 7 San Diego.

Michelle Mack reportedly resold the stolen goods on her own Amazon storefront after paying as many as 12 different women – including their travel expenses – to target specific stores across the country. When a search warrant was served Dec. 6, more than $300,000 worth of product and makeup was found in Mack’s Bonsall residence.

In addition to 231 Ulta stores that were affected by the crime ring, several Sephora locations as well as LensCrafters were also targeted.

Currently, nine defendants have been charged with 140 counts including 136 counts of felony grand theft. It is unclear at this time when Mack will make her first court appearance.
