Specialty Shirt Brand Untuckit Acquired by Randa

Randa Apparel & Accessories (New York) is acquiring Untuckit (New York), a specialty men’s shirt brand. The story was broken by Women’s Wear Daily followed by a press release from the parties involved. Terms were not disclosed.

Untuckit has estimated annual sales of $200 million to $250 million and operates 70-plus U.S. stores, plus e-commerce and wholesale to retailers such as Macy’s and Von Maur. Randa, founded in 1910 as a neckwear manufacturer, holds accessories licenses for more than 40 brands, including Calvin Klein, Levi’s and Tommy Hilfiger.

But in recent years, Randa has been moving more into apparel, acquiring Haggar and Tribal Fashion in 2019, Moss Bros. in 2020, and XIX Palms last year, while also expanding accessories with Totes Isotoner in 2024.

Randa said it plans to run Untuckit – whose specialty is button-down dress and casual shirts specifically engineered to be worn untucked – as a stand-alone business. Founders Chris Riccobono and Aaron Sanandres will remain to run day-to-day operations, and their team will stay intact along with the brand’s offices in New York’s SoHo, the release said.

“Untuckit did the hard thing: it built a direct relationship with the consumer, store by store and click by click,” said Randa President Justin Spiegel. “Randa will add capital, global sourcing and market-leading retail relationships to that foundation. Together, we will accelerate the brand’s growth and introduce it to many more consumers.”
