Two New Airport Eateries and a Lounge

* Brasa Peruvian Kitchen (Toronto) has unveiled an evolution of its brand, becoming ¡Brasa! Peruvian Superfoods, with its soon-to-open location at Toronto Pearson International Airport set to become the first location to open under the new identity. The rebrand “represents much more than a new logo or restaurant design,” the five-unit chain said in a news release. “It reflects a strategic shift in how Brasa communicates what makes the company different: bringing the flavors, ingredients and nutritional power of Peru to modern meals people already know and love.” The new-look eatery is in the airport’s Terminal 1, post-security.

* Bubble tea chain Gong cha (London/U.S. HQ: Boston) has unveiled plans to open its first U.S. airport location by year-end, at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. “Airports are a natural evolution for Gong cha as we continue expanding into high-traffic, non-traditional environments,” said Michael Nedelkovich, VP of U.S. Non-Traditional Franchise Development for the enterprise, which has 2200 locations in 33 international markets, including nearly 250 in the U.S.

JetBlue Airways (New York) announced that its second BlueHouse airport lounge has opened at Boston Logan International Airport in Terminal C. With a design inspired by Boston’s history, neighborhoods and hospitality, the 12,000-square-foot lounge gives customers “a relaxed and seamless place to work, dine, play or unwind before takeoff,” the airline said in a press release. The first BlueHouse is at New York John F. Kennedy International Airport.
