UK-Based Pets Corner to Open US Stores
Plans call for expansion on two continents
Pets Corner, a retailer operating 150 locations in England, plans to open stores in the U.S.
The news comes after the company secured “an eight-figure funding package,” including a revolving credit facility, from HSBC, Retail Gazette reported.
The publication noted that Pets Corner plans to expand in both Europe and the U.S. Plans call for more stores as well veterinary centers and pet spas. The company is also acquiring a seven-location retail chain.
Retail Gazette reported that the company intends to open 10 stores by the end of the year. It’s not clear how many stores will be opened in the U.S. or when they might launch.
