* Denny’s Canada (Vancouver, B.C.) has opened its latest diner-format restaurant, at the Southland Mall in Regina, Saskatchewan. The franchise locale is Denny’s second diner in Regina and fifth in Saskatchewan. (Such spaces have smaller footprints than the chain’s traditional restaurants, owing mainly to a condensed back-of-house layout and less seating.) The Denny’s nameplate in Canada is owned by Northland Properties Corp., which also operates the Chop Steakhouse & Bar and Moxies chains, along with several hotels and resorts. (See gallery below for a photo of the diner.)
