* Best Buy Co. Inc. (Minneapolis) has hired Anne Bramman as EVP and CFO, effective Aug. 19. Bramman most recently served as Chief Financial and Growth Officer of Circana, a leading consumer analytics company. Prior to that, she was CFO of Nordstrom, leading the retailer’s financial strategy, capital allocation and digital-transformation efforts. She has also served as CFO of Avery Dennison and Carnival Cruise Line and held senior finance leadership roles at L Brands.
“Anne brings an impressive and unique combination of finance and operations experience that aligns perfectly with Best Buy and where we’re headed,” said Jason Bonfig, incoming CEO at BB, which operates about 1000 stores across North America. “Her consumer expertise, along with her proven track record of leading teams and creating long-term shareholder value will be instrumental as we take on our next chapter.”
* Krispy Kreme (Charlotte, N.C.) has promoted Suk Nicholas to Chief Commercial Officer and Lori Suess to Chief People Officer. “These promotions reflect our commitment to developing talent from within and strengthening the leadership team as we continue executing our strategy to drive sustainable, profitable growth,” said CEO Josh Charlesworth. Krispy Kreme operates 1000-plus shops in more than 40 countries; roughly a third of those locales are in the U.S.
* McDonald’s (Chicago) has turned to a longtime company executive Skye Anderson to help energize its U.S. unit, naming her President of McDonald’s USA. A 26-year veteran of the fast-food giant, Anderson “will oversee nearly 14,000 restaurants across the U.S. and lead the company’s largest market as it works on McDonald’s > NEXT, its strategy to be customers’ first choice while unlocking growth and productivity across the system,” the company said in a news release.
