Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken (Shalimar, Fla.) said it is taking the wraps off its first newly built restaurant featuring the brand’s next-generation design in the St. Louis area. Located in O’Fallon, Mo. (on the metro area’s far northwest side), the new location opens Nov. 2.

The new 2500-square-foot restaurant “features a fresh, modern design that represents the future of Lee’s, while delivering the same famous chicken, homestyle sides and hospitality guests have enjoyed for generations,” the company said in a news release.

The O’Fallon opening is part of Lee’s continued investment in greater St. Louis, where it currently has six outlets and a regional office. Several of its existing restaurants there have already been remodeled to reflect the updated look – which includes hefty doses of the brand’s signature red and yellow color palette and a new, stylized logo – with plans to eventually update the rest. The brand also said it is planning to open an as-yet-undisclosed number of added locales there soon.

“St. Louis has been a big part of Lee’s success for decades, and we’re committed to building on that,” said CEO Ryan Weaver. “This new restaurant represents where we’re taking the brand, with a better experience for our guests while staying true to the food and hospitality that have made Lee’s a favorite in this community for generations. And we’re just getting started.”

Overall, the brand has 130-plus locations in 12 U.S. states and Canada.
