Gardner-Collier Jewelry, a family-owned business that has operated in Kirksville, MO, for more than 90 years, is closing as the family retires, the Kirksville Daily Express reports.
The jeweler has stores in Kirksville and in Oskaloosa and Ottumwa, IA. Its retirement sale begins Monday, Oct. 26, with 40 percent to 60 percent off all merchandise.
“After more than nine decades of serving our wonderful communities, the time has come for our family to retire and close our doors,” the family wrote in an announcement to customers.
The family said it has been a privilege to help customers mark life’s milestones, from engagements and weddings to anniversaries and birthdays, and thanked them for their loyalty, friendship and support. It invited the public to help celebrate more than 90 years in business.
The announcement did not give a final closing date.
