Birkenstock Debuts in Boston
Newbury Street locale is brand’s seventh store in U.S.

Birkenstock Americas (Navato, Calif.) has opened its seventh company-owned retail store in the United States, on Boston’s famed Newbury Street. The store’s interior showcases the brand’s heritage materials of cork, felt and leather.
“Opening our seventh retail store in the namesake city of our iconic Boston clog is a particularly special moment for the brand,” said David Kahan, President of the German company’s Americas operation. “Boston’s rich history and contemporary energy perfectly align with Birkenstock values of tradition and innovation.”

The street housing the store is known for its Boston Back Bay Victorian architecture containing row houses and fashion boutiques. The new store includes a brand history area featuring archive materials and artifacts commemorating 250 years of Birkenstock shoemaking.
Overall, the store offers products for women, men and kids, including sandals, clogs, sneakers, shoes, boots and socks. Additionally, it features the new Birkenstock Care Essentials collection, marking the brand’s expansion into foot care with premium balms, oils and other products. The new location also offers BOPIS (buy online pick up in store) and BORIS (buy online return in store) services.
