Casey’s General Stores Inc. (Ankeny, Iowa) plans to either acquire or build up to 80 new stores this year. Casey’s – one of the c-store industry’s larger players with just over 2900 stores – announced that plan in a news release on the results of its 2025 fiscal year ended April 30, which saw the chain register strong gains in revenue and net income.

“Casey’s delivered another record fiscal year as our team continued to execute on our three-year strategic plan, reaching $546.5 million of net income and $1.2 billion in EBITDA [earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization],” said President and CEO Darren Rebelez. “Inside same-store sales outperformed the industry, up 2.6 percent, or 7.1 percent on a two-year stack basis, led by strong performance in hot sandwiches and bakery as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages… The operations team performed exceptionally well during the year, driving strong performance, integrating the most new units in Casey’s history, while reducing same-store labor hours for the twelfth consecutive quarter.”

The added stores Rebelez referred to totaled 270 units for its just completed year, including the198 CEFCO stores it acquired.

As for the coming fiscal year, Casey’s said it expects to hit the following marks: an EBITDA increase of 10-12 percent; an inside same-store sales rise of 2-5 percent; and an inside margin of just over 40 percent.
