Little Caesars (Detroit) is continuing its push into overseas markets by unveiling plans to open restaurants in India. The pizzeria plans to open its first franchised outlet later this month in Delhi, marking its 30th country of operation.

Little Caesars’ expansion into India is being led by Mumbai-based Harnessing Harvest— a franchisee with nearly nine decades of experience in the country’s food and hospitality industry. “As rising incomes and global tastes reshape dining habits, consumers seek out international brands,” the partners noted in a news release. “This relationship marks the beginning of a consumer experience that is both iconic and locally irresistible.”

The companies said they plans additional locations in the world’s most populous country, but did not offer details. The partners also said they have “created an entirely new and unique menu exclusively for guests in India, blending its signature quality and value with bold, local flavors.”

“With our delicious pizzas and unbeatable value, we’re eagerly anticipating introducing a unique menu that we believe will captivate India,” said Paula Vissing, President, Global Retail at Little Caesars. “Our mission has always been to offer delicious, high-quality food at exceptional prices, and we can’t wait to introduce Little Caesars to families, students, and busy professionals throughout India.”

Little Caesars’ other recent forays include openings in Cambodia and Kuwait. Founded in 1959, the chain now has 4300-plus locations worldwide.
