JCPenney has announced its new ad campaign that turns “retail regrets” into discounts on future purchases, according to the company.

The initiative invites customers to bring an unwanted purchase from any retailer to JCPenney stores nationwide Aug. 28-30 in exchange for $15 off a $50 purchase. Collected items will be donated through Good360.

The retailer said recent consumer research found 87 percent of budget-conscious customers surveyed agreed that a visit to JCPenney was “worth my time,” while 92 percent said they received a good deal.

The trade-in promotion provides JCPenney with a new incentive to get consumers shopping inside its stores, Women’s Wear Daily reports. The campaign continues JCPenney’s recent efforts to reintroduce itself to consumers and make its more than 600 stores compelling destinations.
