Two international retailers – Primark (Dublin, Ireland) and Princess Polly (Gold Coast, Australia) – have unveiled plans for new stores in the U.S. Primark, a low-price seller of apparel, announced it will open its first store in Texas next month, followed by two more just-announced sites in the Lone Star state, while Princess Polly, an on-trend fashion retailer, has detailed plans for its first New York locale, in SoHo.

Primark’s inaugural Texas store will open next month in La Plaza in McAllen, Texas. It will have 37,000 square feet of space. In addition to previously announced plans for Texas stores in Cielo Vista Mall in El Paso and Katy Mills in Houston, the retailer said it plans two more locales in the state: in the North East Mall in Hurst, and a second in Houston, at the Willowbrook Mall.

“As one of the fastest-growing states in the country, Texas represents an exciting growth opportunity for Primark as we continue our expansion across the country,” said Kevin Tulip, President of Primark U.S., which currently has 28 units across 12 states.

Princess Polly’s New York store, meantime, will span roughly 8000 square feet across two levels when it opens early next year at 514 Broadway. It will feature footwear and accessories, and, consistent with the brand’s four existing stores, Princess Polly’s SoHo location will offer highly Instagrammable spaces, including a permanent photo booth and large-scale LED screens showcasing videos of the newest styles and campaigns. Equipped with 12 fitting rooms, the store will also feature a curation of unique furniture.

“We’ve listened closely to our U.S. customers and know there is appetite for more Princess Polly stores, so we’re thrilled to put Princess Polly on the map in one of the biggest and most exciting cities in the world,” said Eirin Bryett, co-CEO of Princess Polly. “With a spacious layout, various photo opportunities, and a broad selection of our latest styles, this store supports our larger strategy to make Princess Polly’s in-person experience accessible to more customers. This milestone SoHo location represents the next chapter in Princess Polly’s evolution as we continue to blend digital innovation with immersive retail experiences that resonate with our Gen Z and millennial community.”

Princess Polly is a unit of a.k.a. Brands Holding Corp. whose portfolio also includes Culture Kings, mnml and Petal & Pup.
