Sector Update: Upscale Dining
LPM, Nusr-Et Steakhouse and estiatorio Milos set openings

A trio of fine-dining concepts have unveiled their expansion plans (and one of them also disclosed it recently shuttered two U.S. locales). They are:
• LPM Restaurant & Bar (London), a French Riviera-inspired drinking/dining establishment, has unveiled plans for two more U.S. restaurants this year – in Boston and New York – and five more in the five years after that. With 10 international locations in London, Dubai, Mykonos, and Hong Kong, LPM Restaurant & Bar brought its French Riviera-inspired cuisine to the US. in Miami in 2017, followed by a recent expansion to Las Vegas.
LPM CEO Nicolas Budzynski says, “We are beyond excited for LPM to be expanding further into the U.S. market. Our first U.S. location in Miami allowed us to bring our French-Riviera inspired vision to the US and create a world-class dining experience that immerses guests in our diverse culture. We have been approached by many cities to open up additional properties. The team is taking time to ensure that the quality is reflected in our food and cocktails before embarking on new locations.”
• Nusr-Et Steakhouse (Ankara, Turkey), a global restaurant group from Nusret Gökçe, said its next restaurant will open later this year in Mexico City. The brand also said it’s preparing to open new locations in Ibiza, Rome, Milan and elsewhere during the next few years.
As part of what it described “a strategy focusing on high-growth, high-potential markets,” Nusr-Et disclosed it has closed its restaurant in Dallas, and temporarily paused operations in Las Vegas, with plans to reopen at a new location.
• Celebrity chef/restaurateur Costas Spiliadis will introduce his latest estiatorio Milos to West Palm Beach, Fla., on Feb. 7, marking the brand’s second location in Florida and twelfth globally. Located in One Flagler, a new luxury office tower in downtown West Palm Beach developed by Related Ross, the new restaurant will offer “authentic Greek flavors and contemporary sophistication,” the restaurateur said in a news release.
