Shake Shack Opens First Resort-Based Locale
Eatery debuts at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas
Shake Shack (New York) has opened its first resort-based locale, at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Also the first Shake Shack to open in that country, the restaurant features a full 360-degree hexagon-shaped bar and floor-to-ceiling glass walls that offer up-close views of the resort’s adjoining Dig aquarium. Also on offer are several exclusive new menu items with a Bahamian flair.
The new Shake Shack is part of the major developments within the resort’s dining collection, timed with Atlantis commemorating the 25th anniversary of its Royal Towers, project participants say.
The original Shake Shack opened in 2004 in New York’s Madison Square Park, and the brand has since expanded to 470-plus locations, including 295 in 32 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, and more than 155 international locations across London, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Mexico City, Istanbul, Dubai, Tokyo, Seoul and elsewhere.
