Through a joint venture, Tata Consumer Products Ltd. and Starbucks are planning to open between 50 to 100 new stores in India annually, according to Sushant Dash, Tata Starbucks CEO, reports MSN.

Now ranked as one of the fastest-growing markets for Starbucks, India now houses more than 500 Starbucks locations which command a reported 30 percent market share in the country’s café and coffee sector.

This expansion encompasses a range of formats planned, from highway outlets to drive-throughs to Reserve flagships. The latter of which is reportedly seeing strong demand in areas by Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi. Tata Starbucks also sources most of its products locally to combat supply chain disruptions, including Indian-grown espresso beans.
