Retailer #1: Primark (Dublin) is growing in the Southern U.S. The Irish chain plans first stores in South Carolina and Georgia and an added presence in Texas and Virginia.

The new stores will be at the Haywood Mall in Greenville, S.C.; The Parks Mall, Arlington, Texas; the Augusta Mall, in Augusta, Ga.; and Potomac Mills in Woodbridge, Va. (The Virginia store is slated to open April 10; specific timetables for other three locales are not yet available.)

“These expansions reflect our commitment to bringing Primark’s unique combination of style, quality and affordability, to even more shoppers in the US,” said Kevin Tulip, President of Primark U.S. Overall, the chain has 450 stores.

Retailer #2: Psycho Bunny (Montreal) has taken the wraps off its latest store, at the Fashion Outlets of Chicago, a high-profile shopping destination near O’Hare International Airport. “This store allows us to connect with both local and international shoppers who appreciate high-quality, statement-making apparel,” said Kenny Minzberg, Chief Development Officer of the 20-year-old chain, which has 130-plus stores worldwide.

Retailer #3: Uncharted (Acton, Mass.), a sister to The Paper Store chain, has opened its first East Coast locale. The 10,800-square-foot store will open March 29 in the Green Cove Plaza Greenvale, N.Y., on Long Island. This is the second Uncharted store; the first is in suburban Chicago. (The company plans six added stores in Illinois by year-end for the fledgling brand, which features apparel, home decor, beauty and toys.)
