Famed guitar brand Gibson (Nashville) has unveiled plans to open its third retail store, in Miami’s Wynwood Art District. Slated to open next spring, the 8000-square-foot Gibson Garage at 2660 NW 3rd Ave. will showcase more than 500 guitars from the Gibson family of brands, including Gibson, Epiphone, Kramer, MESA/Boogie, Maestro, KRK and Gibson Amplifiers.

Gibson decided to open the Miami store following the positive reception of its first two stores in Nashville and London, said President and CEO Cesar Gueikian. “Miami’s music scene is electric, diverse, and deeply rooted in culture,” added Gueikian. “The Gibson Garage Miami will be a space that not only showcases our instruments but also celebrates the artists and communities that make Miami a global music hub.”

Like its predecessors, the new Miami store features an overhead moving conveyor belt of guitars paying homage to the Gibson finishing process in each of what it calls its “craftories,” symbolizing the journey from creation to connection. It’s a visual and tactile reminder that every instrument is built to be played, not just admired, the 131-year-old brand said.
