Walmart Unveils Five-Year Plan
The 650 remodeled and 150 new stores will reflect the superstore’s “Store of the Future” concept

Over the next 12 months, Walmart (Bentonville, Ark.) plans on remodeling 650 stores across 47 states and Puerto Rico and plans to build or convert more than 150 locations announced in its five-year plan released on Wednesday.
As outlined in the five-year plan, new and remodeled stores will include improved layouts, enhanced product selection and innovative technology with the goal to reflect Walmart’s “Store of the Future” concept.
New stores include locations in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and Atlanta, which are set to open this spring.
