Wixon Jewelers in Minnesota to Close as Owners Retire
The store opened in 1988 and was recognized by INSTORE as one of America’s Coolest Stores in 2015.
Wixon Jewelers, a Minneapolis-area store known for selling brands such as Rolex, Jaeger-LeCoultre and Patek Philippe, is closing in May.
Owners Dan and Hope Wixon are retiring, Minneapolis Star Tribune columnist Evan Ramstad reported.
Although the business in Bloomington has been doing well, the couple, who have 13-year-old twins, are looking for more family time.
“It’ll be a little bittersweet. It’s hard to leave,” Dan Wixon told the Star Tribune. “There’s already been tears falling abundantly, absolutely.”
The business opened in 1988 and was recognized by INSTORE as one of America’s Coolest Stores in 2015.
