Yurman Unveils Miami Flagship
Jeweler’s Design District store steeped in metals and stones.

Luxury jewelry brand David Yurman (New York) has opened its latest flagship, in Miami’s Design District. The boutique “serves as a design playground for artists and jewelry devotees,” the retailer said in a news release.
The boutique’s design involved President and Chief Creative Officer Evan Yurman, Italian architect Andrea Tognon and Consulting Creative Director Bernadette Blanc. Drawing inspiration from the precious metals and stones of the Yurman family’s private collection, the construction embodies the essence of the brand’s artistry, project participants said.
“We are thrilled to be opening our new Miami flagship in the center of the art community,” says Yurman. “As a brand founded by two artists, this space reflects our family legacy and shared vision to create beautiful things that inspire us – whether that be our product, store experience, or design.”
The store’s façade is detailed with an extruded logo, a nod to the brand’s Americana core heritage. Inside, guests will find crafted fixtures made of various stone finishes, resembling precious jewelry insertions. A stepped wall is made of vertically cut pieces of granite, moving in a curve, displayed like a necklace.
Tributes to the brand’s famed Cable sculptural motif appear throughout the space, such as the handrail at the store entrance, as well as the circular vitrine underneath the staircase. On the second floor, a private salon overlooking features the brand’s men’s, women’s and high jewelry collections mixed in with a collection of David Yurman’s personal artwork and private objects.
Founded in 1980 in New York by sculptor David Yurman and his painter/ceramicist wife, Sybil, the business is now led by their son, Evan. The company has grown to have 49 retail stores in the U.S., Canada, Hong Kong and France, and its products are also available at 300-plus authorized fine jewelry and timepiece retailers.
