Bageterie Boulevard (Prague) is eyeing entering a variety of markets beyond its current Central European base, including North America. To that end the fast-casual restaurant brand known for self-baked, chef-crafted baguettes has launched an international franchise development program with an initial focus on Poland, Austria, Italy, Hungary, the Gulf Region, the USA and Canada.

The concept, with its signature yellow-centric palette, currently has locations in two countries – its home Czech Republic (72 restaurants) and Slovakia (2). The business is a unit of Prague-based Crocodille Group, a producer of ready-to-eat and packaged foods that also operates the Exprès Gourmet and 360pizza nameplates.

“Overall, we are more than 35 years in the sandwich business with Crocodille Group, and we spent the last 23 years proving that our Bageterie Boulevard concept works. Now we are ready to take it further,” said Petr Cichoň, the concept’s founder.
