* At Home (Coppell, Texas) CEO Brad Weston is retiring at the end of June, setting off a search for his successor by the chain’s board, report a variety of news sources, including Home Textiles Today. Weston, who joined At Home in June 2024 after a three-decade career that included stints at Party City and Petco, steered the furniture retailer through bankruptcy proceedings that it exited last fall after shedding some debt and closing 31 underperforming stores. (It now has about 230 stores in 39 states.) As part of the transition involving Weston’s exit, Chief Commercial Officer Aaron Rose has been given the added title of President.

* Gap Inc. (San Francisco) has hired Donald Kohler as President and CEO of its Banana Republic unit, a post that had been vacant for roughly two years. He will join the 400-unit chain in July. Kohler was most recently CEO of PVH Americas, overseeing Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger and the company’s regional retail, e-commerce, wholesale and licensing businesses. Prior to that, Kohler held senior leadership roles at Burberry, Ferragamo and Diesel. This is a full-circle move for Kohler, whose early career includes a decade in merchandising leadership roles across Gap, GapKids, and babyGap.

* With Kohler’s exit, PVH Corp. (New York) announced the promotion of Adelyn Cheong to CEO, PVH Americas. Cheong joined PVH in 2018 to lead the Asia-Pacific operations of its Tommy Hilfiger unit before being promoted to President, PVH China, in 2021. In addition, PVH has hired Joel Samaha for the newly created role of President, Global Licensing, Partnerships and Expansion, and given Jonathan Bottomley, Global Chief Marketing Officer of Calvin Klein, added duties as EVP, Group Consumer & Brand Strategy, for the parent company.
