With similar economic markets, expansion into Canada may seem a natural next step for many U.S.-based brands and retailers, it is no guarantee of success. Many retailers and brands have failed to flourish because expansion across the border requires far more than simply replicating what worked in the states.
At the International Retail Design Conference (IRDC) in Las Vegas this Oct. 8, a panel of experts will explore why geography, real estate strategy, operational execution and cultural nuance are key strategies to a flourishing expansion into Canada.
Anisah Ali (Senior Director, Market Analytics Centre of Excellence, Loblaws), Marcella Au (Senior Associate, Retail + Interiors Lead, North America, BDP Quadrangle) and Brent Felten (Sector Business Development Director, Henderson Companies) will talk to IRDC’s audience about the importance of localization, scale and culture, providing clear strategies for long-term success in the Canadian market.
Join IRDC and hundreds of retailers, brands, designers and industry executives in Las Vegas this Oct. 6-8. Not only will attendees hear from leading experts speak on a range of topics, but they will also experience Las Vegas’ Arts District and the immersive Area15.
