* Fogo de Chão (Dallas) has signed a lease to open one of its churrasco-style restaurants in a high-profile lifestyle center on Cleveland’s east side. The Brazilian steakhouse is slated to debut in the Legacy Village complex in Lyndhurst sometime next year (a more specific timing is not yet available). It will be housed in a space formerly occupied by a Brio Italian Grille, according to local news reports. The Lyndhurst location is the brand’s second in Ohio; the first is in Columbus, in the Polaris complex on that city’s far north side. Overall, the chain has 70-plus restaurants.

* Voce, a new hotel/residential tower being built in downtown Nashville, has unveiled the name and planned design of its rooftop restaurant. Dubbed IKIGAI (for the Japanese philosophy of “the joy of living”), the Japanese/Korean Fusion dining destination is set to open next year, when the hotel housing it also debuts. Designed by ID & Design Intl. (Pompano Beach, Fla.), the 25th-level, 6200-square-foot space “is positioned as an experiential dining destination offering panoramic views of the Nashville skyline for 145 seated guests,” project participants said in a news release.

* Julius’ Castle, a landmark restaurant whose building has been perched on San Francisco’s Telegraph Hill for roughly a century, will reopen Nov. 12, after an 18-year-hiatus, reports The San Francisco Chronicle. The arduous restoration and updating of the three-level eatery were undertaken by local attorney Paul Scott, who purchased the property in a bankruptcy sale for an undisclosed sum four years after its closing in 2008. In reopening, the restaurant will offer the “castle on a hill” experience its original owner envisioned, the newspaper noted.
