Ollie’s Bargain Outlets (Harrisburg, Pa.) has opened 10 new stores in Texas. The discount locations are all former 99 Cents stores in the Dallas, Houston, McAllen and San Antonio markets.
“We are incredibly excited to open 10 more stores in the great state of Texas where the folks have been so good to us,” said CEO John Swygert. “With the closing of 99 Cents Stores [via bankruptcy earlier this year] throughout the state, we’re thrilled to provide more shoppers in the state with a treasure hunt experience where they can find a huge selection of brand name bargains at prices that won’t break the bank.”
Overall, Ollie’s operates 542 stores in 31 states, including 38 it had in Texas prior to buying the 99 Cents locales.
